these pictures remind me of the sensation of falling asleep - fuzzy images, velvet sounds, bursts and speckles of orange and red embraced by the darkness of an eyelid. the trip from an externally based world to one generated from within. one relinquishes the reigns to a brave new brain, free from the shackles of self-censorship. funny isn't it? that the brain would be as or more active during sleep, and yet the body would be more helpless than ever. what happens between those two seconds, one in which you fade, the other in which you are resurrected?
